Join bestselling authors and co-founders of Freedom Folk & Soul, Jeremy Pajer and Stephanie Urbina Jones, for a profound overnight experience of Toltec wisdom, Sacred Journey Breathwork, ceremony, music, and transformation.
Beginning at 2:00 PM on Saturday and continuing through the night until Sunday morning, this immersive gathering is an invitation to step away from the noise of daily life and enter a sacred space of self-discovery, healing, and awakening.
Our journey begins with teachings rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Toltecs. The Toltecs were master philosophers, artists, dreamers, and spiritual teachers of ancient Mexico. Their teachings were centered on awareness, personal freedom, and the understanding that much of human suffering comes from unconscious beliefs, conditioning, and agreements we have accepted about ourselves and the world. The Toltecs taught that when we awaken from these limiting stories, we gain the ability to consciously create a new dream for our lives—one rooted in truth, authenticity, and love.
Through guided teachings, reflection, discussion, and experiential practices, participants will begin exploring the patterns, fears, beliefs, and emotional wounds that may no longer serve their highest path. This portion of the workshop creates a powerful foundation for the deeper work that follows.
From these teachings, we will move into Sacred Journey Breathwork, a powerful somatic breathing experience designed to help participants move beyond the thinking mind and access deeper layers of awareness. Breath becomes the bridge between the conscious and subconscious, opening pathways to healing, insight, emotional release, and transformation.
Accompanied by sacred music, drumming, guided facilitation, and intentional support, participants are invited to journey inward. Stored emotions, energetic blocks, old stories, and limiting beliefs often begin to surface, creating opportunities for release and renewal. Many participants experience profound clarity, expanded awareness, heightened creativity, and a renewed connection with their authentic essence.

As the afternoon transitions into evening, we prepare to enter one of the most sacred aspects of the gathering—the all-night Mitote Ceremony.
A Mitote is an ancient ceremonial gathering rooted in Indigenous traditions of Mexico and Toltec lineages. Traditionally held throughout the night, the Mitote is a sacred container for prayer, meditation, movement, dreaming, silence, song, and transformation. More than a ceremony, it is an invitation into the mystery of the unseen world and the deepest layers of the self.
In Toltec teachings, the word "mitote" also refers to the constant noise of the mind—the endless stream of thoughts, fears, judgments, worries, and internal dialogue that often keeps us disconnected from our true nature. Through the sacred act of remaining present together through the night, participants are invited to move beyond this mental noise and enter deeper states of awareness, dreaming, and connection.
Gathered around a sacred altar and held within the support of community, we will journey through prayer, silence, music, meditation, movement, sacred songs, and reflection. The darkness of the night becomes a teacher, inviting vulnerability, introspection, and communion with spirit. Participants may experience profound stillness, emotional release, heightened intuition, powerful dreams, visions, or deep inner knowing.
As dawn approaches, the ceremony gradually softens into gratitude and reflection. Sunrise becomes a symbol of rebirth—a crossing from darkness into light, from unconsciousness into awareness, from limitation into possibility. Together we will welcome the new day carrying fresh insight, healing, clarity, and a renewed connection to ourselves, each other, and the sacred.
